Different from the previous year, AIC 2024 provides a more competitive challenge for all teams with the presence of the 1v1 stage and the Swiss Stage format. Carrying the theme “Bring It On”, the peak series of AIC 2024 will take place in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam as the host.
The 2024 AOV International Championship will be the first international stage for the Old Man’s Team as representatives from Indonesia. Even though they come from a Community team, the Old Man’s Team succeeded in showing their abilities and capacity so that they were able to win tickets for AIC 2024 after winning the AoV Star League (Winter) 2024, the highest esports tournament in Indonesia.
Later, the Old Man’s Team will join 15 teams that have passed their respective regional qualifications, starting from the RoV Pro League 2024 Winter (RPL) in Thailand, Arena of Glory (AOG) Winter 2024 in Vietnam, Garena Challenger Series (GSC ) Summer 2024 in Taiwan, and AoV Star League (ASL) Winter 2024 in Indonesia. The following are all the teams participating in AIC 2024.
This time AIC is presenting various new badaktoto things to increase the competitive aspect for all teams, one of which is the presence of a 1v1 tournament which will take place on 30 November – 1 December 2024.
This opening tournament will bring together one representative from each voting team from the four regions to compete for “Best 1v1 Player”. All AOV fans can give their support to the favorite players selected in this tournament.
Apart from that, this year’s AIC no longer uses the Group Stage format as the preliminary round before the top match but instead the Swiss Stage format which will be available on 5-15 December 2024. With this format, teams with the same running score will meet each other while the team that swallows Losing three times before the end of the round will result in elimination from the tournament.
The Swiss Stage will leave the 8 best teams to advance to the Quarter Finals on 19-22 December 2024. Meanwhile, the top round, Semi and Grand Finals will bring together the four best teams directly in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on 28-29 December 2024.
